    What’s Your Build?

I’m curious — for those PC gamers out there, what’s your build and what do you recommend to a n00b regarding building their own rig?

Mine is nothing special. Just an overpriced Asus gaming laptop that became outdated quicker that I’d have liked it to.

I've had my PC for almost 3 years now (I think) but it's the first PC I built and I treat it like a child ;-;. I've got an i7-6700k with 8gb of ram and a GTX 970. Hoping to upgrade my GPU once the prices go down a little bit and add a bit more ram at some point too. Unlucky timing though, I all my parts a few months before the next batch of graphics card came out ;(.

Only thing I'd recommend right now is to wait for prices to go down and do a bit of research on the parts you're looking for before you pull the trigger :3

I ended up way over paying for most of this comp. I got the video card more or less on fire sale after the whole 3.5gb + .5gb thing came to light so that was good. The rest of it (minus monitors) I got maybe a month or 2 later because my old comp wouldn't boot and after an hour of fucking with it I said screw it i'm buying a new comp right now. Went into tiger direct (yes the actual tiger direct store) and ended up leaving with a VERY pissed off woman and a receipt that had numbers at the bottom totaling twice what I went in planning to spend.
